Are you interested in learning basic embroidery? The B.C. Stitchers can help!
In this Embroidery 101 workshop each participant will receive a free kit with all the necessities and a handout of hints and tips. You will learn basic skills like how to:
- Thread a needle and use a needle threader
- Pick out floss and fabric
- Use an embroidery hoop
- Find patterns to stitch
- Master popular embroidery stitches like back stitch, stem stitch, straight stitch, rice stitich, lazy daisy and even French Knot!

The B.C. Stitchers are an educational, non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining a high standard of design and technique in needlework. They are a membership organization that has been around since 1978. They instruct their members in the methods and techniques of creative needlework. Additionally, they also promote needlework within their community. The B.C. Stitchers are a local chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America (EGA).
