Celebrate our Summer Reading Program theme, Color Our World, with movies that feature heavy strategic use of color to represent characters, emotions, ideas, and other forms of symbolism. 1990s high schooler David, a fan of the fictional 1950s sitcom Pleasantville, is fighting with his twin Jennifer over the remote when they accidentally break it. A mysterious television repairman appears and gives David a special replacement remote before departing. When the twins use it, they find themselves transported into the black-and-white world of the sitcom, replacing teenage cast members bud and Mary Sue Parker.
