When robotics engineer Gemma becomes the reluctant guardian of her orphaned niece Cady after her sister and brother-in-law are killed in a car accident, she thinks her new invention, a robotic AI doll, will be a good companion for the child. However, M3GAN goes rogue and starts behaving in disturbing ways.
