Thank you for your interest in It's Real: Teens & Mental Health! This program will take place on Monday, October 16th 2023 from 6-7pm in the Decker Room at the Broome County Library. The It's Real: Teens and Mental Health program was created by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), and is being brought to you by a partnership between the BC SAFE Coalition and Care Compass Network. This program will be delivered as a suicide awareness and prevention training program for parents, caregivers, and families of children and teens; as well as general members of the community who want to better understand mental health. Participants will learn how to identify when someone in their lives may have a developing mental health challenge, and how they can help connect them to appropriate support and resources.
