Happy Pride Month from BCPL!

Happy Pride Month to all of our LGBTQIA+ patrons! Pride Month, which came into being due to the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan, is dedicated to celebrating LGBTQIA+ culture and everybody that encompasses the various LGBTQIA+ identities. It commemorates the contributions and activism of the lesbian, gay, bi, pan,  transgender, nonbinary, gender-nonconforming, questioning, intersex, asexual, aromantic, agender, and other queer communities. The Library of Congress website provides more information about the history of Pride month. We have many books by LGBTQIA+ authors, as well as books featuring protagonists of various identities other than cisgender, heteroromantic, heterosexual, alloromantic, and allosexual.  Some of our recent acquisitions are listed below.
