BCPL now offers access to the digital New York Times

BCPL now offers access to the New York Times online! You can read both inside and outside the library. This also gives you access to other New York Times resources, such as New York Times databases, videos, and teacher resources. You can read on any device, including your phone or tablet.

Here’s how it works:

Inside the library

  1. While inside the library, connect to the internet by logging onto one of our public computers or through our Wi-Fi (our Wi-Fi is listed under bclibrary). You will need either a library card or a guest pass to use our public computers.
  2. Navigate to: www.nytimes.com/register.
  3. Register for an NYTimes account or sign in to an existing account. You will need an email address to create an account.
  4. Enjoy the NYTimes!

Outside the library

  1. Click on this link: https://nytimes.com/subscription/redeem?campaignId=8LULH&gift_code=346dc9c3a3fb61c4.
  2. Register for an NYTimes account or sign in to an existing account. You will need an email address to create an account.
  3. You can now enjoy the NYTimes outside the library on your own device for 24 hours. After 24 hours you will need to click on the link again and sign back in to continue reading.

We do not currently have print copies of the NYTimes.

If you have questions, don't hesitate to contact the reference department!
